Tim Howard (Goalie) scores for Everton!

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard made history on Wednesday after scoring a freak 95-yard goal against Bolton Wanderers. The American soccer player is only the fourth goalkeeper in English Premier League history to score.

The bizarre goal, assisted by the strong winds blowing around Everton’s home ground Goodison Park, came with a clearance from Howard’s own penalty area in the 63rd minute. The long kick bounced over the head of Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan and flew into the net.

The only problem was that it was the only goal scored by Everton on Wednesday as the team lost 2-1 with Bolton hitting back with goals from David Ngog and Gary Cahill.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle absolved Bogdan of blame for the goal, saying: “It was certainly one of the most freakish goals I’ve ever seen in football.
