We have started an indoor team and our playing at all american!  The black dragons held their first two games over the weekend.  We were a little shaky the first game (first time playing indoor.) But, Sunday we came on strong and played a nail biter against a 3 year indoor team and tied 5-5.  Way to go Black Dragons!  The boys are gaining strength as the get to know the fast paced indoor layout. dragons outdoor season a wrap

Dragons finished up their outdoor season this weekend with a tie.  We finished the year 3-3-2 and really came on strong the last half of the year.  I’m so proud of all the boys they did a great job progressing through out the year and were passing, playing positions and shooting alot.  Thanks for a great season and I look forward to the spring.  I’ll send out some emails prior to sign up deadlines.  Have a great winter.

dragons play to a tie in last weeks game

In a hard, well matched game the dragons played to a 1-1 tie against the orange team last week.  Our defense shut down the other team and Tommy scored a goal late in the game for the equalizer.  Well done by all the second graders. Great team effort and we are seeing passing on the field in game play which is exactly what the second graders needed.

Great job, dragons! We continue to get better each game and finally pull out a 2-0 victory last week.  Dragons scored quick,  about 2 minutes into the game with a follow up goal in the second half.  I was also media day for the 2nd graders and there were some great pictures captured which well be posting online.  Some of you guys were taken pictures , if you have any outstanding in action photos send them over and I’ll post em.

This saturday we play bright and early at 9:00.  We are hoping to build on the momentum.  Dress warm.

Dragons show much improvement

Corinth Dragons showed a big improvment in game play on the pitch.  Saturday Dragons lost 3-2 in a nail biter that came down to the last few minutes.  Out offensive came alive in the second half to go up 2-1 with six minutes left in the game.  Opposing team scored two last minute goals but all in all, a tremendous effort by the boys in green.

Great job Dragons. We completed our first game today in the new league! We lost 0-3 but the kids did great for their first time following new positions, rules, goalies and field play. Way to go team. We will definitely get better as we become more familar with the game play. We will work on goal scoring this week at practice in order to put some points on the board.
